 Whetu Fun Day


Last Thursday we had a Whetu Fun Day as our camp was postponed.  Our teachers planned a fun day for us instead!  We participated in a Whetu Amazing Race, a range of different fun rotations, a BBQ lunch, and play on the council playground then we finished the day with an Easter Egg hunt and an ice block.


My favorite part of the Amazing Race was that we had to parent and we kids got to go in a group all around Ngatea but we had to be responsible if we had no parents. The people in our group were Me, Shirley, Scarlett, Tayla, Marley, and Lola. In the amazing race there were clues we had to read and then go look in the place we think the egg will be and if the egg was there, there would be a code on it and we would have to write it down on our sheet and at some of the places the eggs where at the could be a teacher with an activity you had to do.


The rotation I enjoyed the most was Picasso bunnies because it was really fun and Debbie Shirley's mum came and did it with me Shirley and Marley also because we didn't get to change around for some reason but I was kinda glad.


During the Easter Egg Hunt, I found my stick in a stump of wood that had a crack in it and the stick had been put in the crack.

Kite day!!

On Friday we had a kite day where we made kites with a partner or without one. Then at 2.pm, we flew them. Some parents came to watch us fly them. We all had a lot of fun making and flying. The person I worked with was Tayla we worked quite well together and had a lot of fun making the kite and flying it. We both have similar ideas sometimes. The stuff that I used was a trash bag some bamboo, string, tape, and some ribbon. the trash bag was the main bit of the kite because if we didn't have that or anything else the kite wouldn't have flown. The bamboo was how we made the shape of the kite it worked really well. The sting was what we used to fly the kite and also for the tail. We used the ribbon for the bow's on the tail it was pretty but then it got all tangled up and some of the bows were getting undone. Our kite worked not so well it didn't fly high, at one point it flew kinda high for like five seconds but then it came down and hit the ground. After a while Mrs. Ken

I finished my Ateroa hero it's about an Ateroa hero like there was Lorde like what I am doing. The part that was hard was really getting it done because I wasn't here for half the week. The part that was easy was writing the stuff down. This is what I write.

Math mahi

We did some math mahi were we figer out stuff. The part that was easy was the time tables becaus I new them all. The part that was hard was figering out how to make the four squares into on bye taking away four rods to make one square but hen I got it so that was good. The part that was my favrite was figering out hte square because it was fun.
