 Today was Play, Make, Create. I worked with Shirley we worked really well together and did a good job. The story for today was called We are all equal. We made a helicopter to take the Panda up to get the high bamboo. My favorite part was working with Shirley and the green wall inside the helicopter. The hard part was trying to get the propeller to spin. The easy part was making the pandas and getting the outside of the helicopter.

 Today we did a Play, Make, Create. We all had to work by ourself I did an inspirational quote. I drew some pictures and colored them in and I wrote three quotes I made one up though it is on the left side. The hard part was the coloring because that was the last part I had to do but it was all still pretty easy. My favorite part was drawing and writing the quotes.

In this white challenge, we did a tower. Me and my group decided we would try and win by having the tallest tower. We had to make a base, so we did. Then we started to make the tall part it got really tall. I worked with only boys I worked with Johan, Franklin, Max we worked really well together. The part that was my favorite was that our tower was really tall.

On Friday we had a kite day where we made kites with a partner or without one. Then at 2.pm, we flew them. Some parents came to watch us fly them. We all had a lot of fun making and flying. The person I worked with was Tayla we worked quite well together and had a lot of fun making the kite and flying it. We both have similar ideas sometimes. The stuff that I used was a trash bag some bamboo, string, tape, and some ribbon. the trash bag was the main bit of the kite because if we didn't have that or anything else the kite wouldn't have flown. The bamboo was how we made the shape of the kite it worked really well. The sting was what we used to fly the kite and also for the tail. We used the ribbon for the bow's on the tail it was pretty but then it got all tangled up and some of the bows were getting undone. Our kite worked not so well it didn't fly high, at one point it flew kinda high for like five seconds but then it came down and hit the ground. After a while Mrs. Ken

 

 We did Play, Make, Create again. The story title was Be you. I worked with Lola.  We chose to do design and make. We both love Stranger Things Manley me though so we made a board game that was based on stranger things I think we could have done a lot better with our work but we had to go do the talent show and that took us away for a while. The characters in the game are Dustin Mike Ell Mad Max Lukus and Will.  My favorite part was making the board to the game and also working with Lola. What worked well was the point of the game was to get through these tunnels and get to the gate to escape the upside-down. I think we could have made it better by coloring and finishing the mystery cards, we also could have sketched it out better.

  Term 2, Week 1 2021 During Term 1 we have been practising our addition and subtraction knowledge through the online programme called NumBots.  At the start it was super easy but progressively got more challenging. I am now on level Tungsten of NumBots.   I enjoy NumBots because It's really fun it's not that hard though some leaves are a little hard because you dont no what to do but when you no how its easy. What I find challenging is when you dont no what to do, it's challenging but when you don't, it's easy. This week we have started TTRockstars.  This is an online programme which helps us to learn our timetables. First we had to complete 10 Studio games which were really hard because they had basic facts right up to 12 x 12. Now that hard part is over we can play in the Garage and start learning our tables. I think that TTRockstars will be a level up from numbots because it helps me alot more because timetables make me no deviderbyes

 We did Play, Make, Create The story title was Up The Creek! The characters of the book were... A Bever, a Moose, and a Bear. In the story, Bever, Bear, and Moose went up the Creek in a canoe they were all best friends but they always fight and have different ideas they go up the creek and have a rough time in the water because they toss and turn and hit rocks. I worked with Shirley we made a submarine and a creek but we put real water in it and it floated yay! The hard part was getting the water to stay in but it started leaking so we had to quickly fill it up with water and take a picture. The easy bit was making all the stuff.

Today we did Play, Make, Create it was really fun!! I worked with Shirley and we made a rainbow with the colors on it but the colors were wool. I made a sun it was like the rainbow because the colors were wool. The part that was hard was the watercolors. The part that was easy was the wool. But my favorite part was working with Shirley!!

  Whetu Fun Day Last Thursday we had a Whetu Fun Day as our camp was postponed.  Our teachers planned a fun day for us instead!  We participated in a Whetu Amazing Race, a range of different fun rotations, a BBQ lunch, and play on the council playground then we finished the day with an Easter Egg hunt and an ice block. My favorite part of the Amazing Race was that we had to parent and we kids got to go in a group all around Ngatea but we had to be responsible if we had no parents. The people in our group were Me, Shirley, Scarlett, Tayla, Marley, and Lola. In the amazing race there were clues we had to read and then go look in the place we think the egg will be and if the egg was there, there would be a code on it and we would have to write it down on our sheet and at some of the places the eggs where at the could be a teacher with an activity you had to do. The rotation I enjoyed the most was Picasso bunnies because it was really fun and Debbie Shirley's mum came and did it with m

 We did Play, Make, Create. I worked with Lola she was a great partner! We made a campground but we didn't get it finished. There is an island which I made Lola made the fire and the ocean and I also made a Marshmallow pack which had marshmallow squishy in it which I also made and I stuck a toothpick on the packet so you can stab it into the Marshmallow and burn it with the fire. The hard part was making the island because it took a long long time because I had to cut up squares in the cardboard then stick them together using tape. The easy part was making the Marshmallows because all I had to do was cut circle pieces of paper and then staple half of them together then push the fluff in and staple it up and wala its a squishy

 Today we did a Math Mystery. I worked with Marley!!! we got the answer as Mollie. Mollie is the one who stole the Trophy. The hard part was the end because we got a few answers wrong but then figured them out by getting some help from our friend. The easy part was the start because you had to say which was heaver and stuff.

 We got to draw sketch do a google drawing and all that for a recreate of the map's n maze. This is the stuff we want to make for the maze.  We did Play, Make, Create. Mrs. Loft read us a story the title of the story was The Gruffalo. I made a bridge so the mouse can get over the stream safely I put all the animals in it like the owl he met and the fox and the snake and of course the Gruffalo. I tried to make mine different so I made one of those things where you cut a line in the paper and you can slide the mouse across so it looks like it's moving. The part that was hard was making the bridge it was hard to get it to stick. The easy part was drawing the stuff before I cut it out.

  Monday was our school Swimming Sports. On the day I didn't win any races but I am proud of myself. I competed in the too lengths breaststroke and came second to last. We had two art sessions this week and it was so fun and I am excited for the next art session. In literacy this week we have written a really good story about a dog that goes missing. Part of our maths program is NumBots and I think I am doing really well. It is quite easy but it’s really fun.

  Week 4, Term 1, 2021 The most interesting/fun thing we have done during class time this week is Whetu stars because mum got to come and help me create it. We started our art this week and I have chosen to do art with Mrs Kennedy. Our art is going to be a landscape circle but it is not just a normal landscape it's going to be made out of patterns. We created our Whetū stars on Thursday and they look AMAZING!!! because we all put our best into it and made them look great!! Next week we have our school swimming sports. I am feeling a bit nervous but also a little bit excited because I will be with my friends.

  Week 3, Term 1, 2021 Someone who has helped me with my learning this year is Mrs Kennedy and my friends with things I wasn't sure on but after they helped me I knew everything I was meant to know.  The most interesting/fun thing we have done during class time is water games because it was hot and we didn't get to have the pool that day so our nice and wonderful teachers let us do that!! The most fun thing that I have done at a play or lunch time this year is Crocodile, a game me and my friends play every-day on the big blue and always have fun each and every time we play it. One word that describes learning in Whetu is Fun!! because everything we seem to do is exciting and fun and I never get bored of it.  Something I am looking forward to is camping overnight with my friends and some of my class.
